Francisco Romera Soto

Southbridge - Francisco Romera Soto, 88, died peacefully, and surrounded by his loving family, at his home on Monday, July 18, 2022.  

 

Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on January 18, 1934, Mr. Romera Soto was the son of the late Jose Maria Romera and Juana Soto.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jenny Diaz Felix.  He is also survived by their three daughters: Leslie Lozada and her husband, Rafael, of Minnesota; Lisette Marcano and her husband, Oscar, of Southbridge, MA; and Lydia Stahlbush and her husband, Patrick, of Southbridge; 4 grandchildren: Rafael Lozada, Sylvia Buboltz, Jenny Serrano, and Kendrick Marcano; and his siblings: Josefina Romera, Belen Romera, Antonio Romera, and Maria Dolores Romera.  He was predeceased by his siblings: Isabel Romera, Christobal Romera, Mario Romera, and Jose Romera.  

 

Mr. Romera Soto served in the United States Army.  He retired after working for many years as a messenger, and a travel coordinator, for the Life Savers Candy Manufacturing Company.  He was a very good pool player.

 

Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA is entrusted with funeral arrangements.  Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 5-7PM, with a prayer service at 5PM.  Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA.
