Felicita (Cruz) Marcano

On Saturday, November 7, 2020, Felicita Marcano (92) a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. 

Felicita was born on May 12, 1928, in Caguas, PR to Eduardo Cruz and Eustaquia (Ramos) Cruz. On December 26, 1960, she married Carlos Marcano. Shortly after, they moved to Southbridge where they raised their four children, Carlos, Angelo, Edwin and Wilda Marcano.

A devout Catholic, Felicita was a true woman of God. She loved the Lord and loved her church. She was a member of various church groups including the Woman of Sacred Heart and was a Eucharistic Minister. Felicita was a prayer, she truly believed in the power prayer. If she left the room without notice, you can find her in her room praying.

Felicita was preceded in death by her Mother and Father Eduardo & Eustaquia Cruz, and her son Angel L (Angelo) Marcano. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Carlos Marcano, her three children and their spouses, Carlos (Gino) Marcano, Edwin (Danita) Marcano and Wilda Marcano (Samuel Cortez). Grandchildren Angel Marcano Jr, Carlos Cruz Marcano Jr (CJ), Kamani Yamashita, Kulika Yamashita, Carlos Aponte Jr, Leticia Aponte, Alisha Aponte, Edwin Jr, Jacob Marcano, several great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

Calling hours will be Thursday, November 12, 2020, from 4-7pm at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy St Southbridge, MA 01550. 

The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020, at 11:00 AM at St Mary’s Church, 263 Hamilton St Southbridge, MA 01550.   Burial will follow at St Mary Cemetery, Charlton Street, Southbridge, MA.

Flowers or donations may be sent to Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy St Southbridge, MA. 01550.  Due to Covid-19,  masks at the church and funeral home will be required.
