Eugene was affectionately given the nickname "Molly Magee" by his sisters when he was very young and was best known by his friends as "Molly" or Gene. He was a Master Canary Breeder and had many "Best in Show" Champions. He specialized in the "Gloster Canary" and had many bird breeder friends in both the United States and Great Britain. He loved visiting his daughter Diane Blalock in Gig Harbor, Washington and particularly loved the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula of Washington. He was greatly loved by all with his out-going humor and personality and will be sincerely missed by both family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge for the professional and loving care given to him during his stay in both the Emergency Room and on the Third Floor. The kind, considerate, and loving attention to his every need by Physicians, Nurses, Assistants, and all personnel was outstanding and deserves commendation. Hospice care could not have been more gracious and helpful. Thank you to all.
