Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Bernard) Tremblay, 74, a lifelong resident of Southbridge, died Sunday, September 25th, at UMass Memorial Health/Harrington after being stricken ill at home. She leaves her husband of 54 years, Robert R. Tremblay. They were married May 11, 1968.
She is survived by her daughter Hope Tremblay of Southbridge, 5 brothers: Adelard "Junior" Bernard, Jr. of Wildwood, FL, Michael Bernard of Webster, Paul Bernard and his companion Janet Cullen of Charlton, Robert Bernard and his wife Georgie of Norway, Maine, David Bernard and his wife Rita of Zephyrhills, FL, 3 sisters: Marie Williams of Reed Plantation, ME, Lucille White of Charlton, Theresa St.Laurent of Zephyrhills, FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Yvette Martin and Elaine Bernard.
Betty was born in Southbridge, daughter of the late Adelard and Cecile Winifred (Moran) Bernard. She was a lifelong member of Notre Dame Church (St. John Paul II Parish). She enjoyed fishing, ice skating, and trips to Foxwoods Casino. She was a longtime employee of Southbridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Southbridge, and retired from Life Care Center in Auburn.
Calling hours will be Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge from 5-7PM. A prayer service with Rev. Kenneth Cardinale will be held at 6PM.
Burial will be at a later date.
