Dorothy D. (Jacques) Eggleston

Southbridge - Dorothy D. (Jacques) Eggleston, 84, died Saturday, November 18, 2023 at her daughter's home, following a brief illness.

Her husband was the late Robert W. Eggleston, who died on November 16, 2016.  She is survived by 3 sons: Danny Eggleston and his wife, Patricia, of Worcester; Richard Eggleston of Worcester; and David Eggleston and his wife, Verla, of Arizona; 2 daughters: Theresa Smith and her husband, Clark, of Rochdale; and Susan Hyson and her husband, Timothy, of Southbridge; her daughter -in-law, Tracy Eggleston of Worcester; her brother, Jerry Jacques and his wife, Lu, of Rochdale; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.  Dorothy was predeceased by her son, Michael Eggleston, who died on December 6, 2019, and by a brother, Alan Jacques.  

Born in Malone, NY, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Ernest and Vivian (Dumas) Jacques.  She was a homemaker, and her family was very special to her. Prior to her illness, Dorothy lived in Garden City, SC.  In August she moved to her daughter Susan's home in Southbridge to be cared for by her family during the last few months of her life.

There are no calling hours.  Dorothy's Funeral Mass will be at 12PM on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Notre Dame Church, 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA.  Burial will be private.  Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA is handling Dorothy's funeral arrangements.
