Doris B. (Mongeon) Freehart

Southbridge...Doris B. (Mongeon) Freehart, 85, a longtime resident of Southbridge, died September 26th, at Southbridge Rehab & Health Care Center.  Her husband was the late David J. Freehart, who died in 1974.

She is survived by her daughter with whom she previously lived, Lynn Bashaw and her husband Abraham of Southbridge, Kenneth Freehart and his fiancée Kelly Connolly of Southbridge, Keith Conley of Southbridge, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Dolores Maynard of Southbridge, and brothers John Mongeon and his wife Yvette of Dudley, Richard Mongeon of Webster, Gene Mongeon and his wife Cheryl of Charlton, and Larry and his wife Pauline Mongeon of Fitchburg, many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son Edward Freehart in 2018, her daughter Donna Mathieu in 2018, and her daughter-in-law Tammy (Ravenelle) Conley in 2017.

Mrs. Freehart was born in Charlton, daughter of the late Adelard and Isabelle "Annie" (Farraher) Mongeon, and lived many years in Southbridge. She was a member of Saint Mary's Church and enjoyed knitting and sewing. She also worked for over 30 years as a housekeeper for the Sturbridge Truck Stop.

Private funeral services will be held for the immediate family.  Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 is directing the arrangements.
