Donald "Donny" Purcell

Southbridge...Donald (Donny) Purcell, 66, a lifelong resident of Southbridge, died Monday, April 22, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center/University Campus.

He was the son of the late John (Jack) and Jeanne (Lafortune) Purcell.  He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish, and a graduate of Bay Path Regional Vocational High School. 

He is survived by his brothers, Keith Purcell and his wife Cheryl of Waterboro, Maine, Patrick Purcell and his wife Eileen of Southbridge, Glenn Purcell of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, and his sister Cathleen Purcell of Waltham, MA.  He also leaves his sister- in-law Nancy Purcell of Natick, and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother Mark Purcell of Natick. 

Donnie worked for many years for NAPA auto parts. He enjoyed family get-togethers, was a member of the former Polish Club

The funeral Mass will be held at 11AM, Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Notre Dame Church, 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.  A calling hour will be held from 9:00-10:30AM, prior to the Mass, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550
