Donald St .Jean Obituary

Donald St. Jean, 88, devoted husband of Cecile (Lausier) St. Jean, died peacefully surrounded by family on May 15, 2026, after a brief illness. Born in Southbridge, MA, on August 9, 1937, he was the son of Fredolina (Landry) and Ovila St. Jean. He is survived by the love of his life of 62 years, Cecile, his loving children, Michael and Shelley St. Jean; Dianne St. Jean and fiancé David Carpenter; Lisa and Craig Audette; Julie and Cameron Anderson; seven grandchildren (Andrew, Amanda, Jena, Nicholas, Sara, Kate and Megan); and six great-grandchildren (Evangeline, Alexa, Maximus, Lindsey, Samuel and Brooke) as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings, and a great granddaughter Seraphina.

After high school, Don entered the religious community of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in Pascoag, RI. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy and completing college, Don spent 35 incredible years teaching biology, science and algebra with most of that career at Shepherd Hill Regional High School in Dudley, MA. He had many talents and interests that kept him busy at all stages of life. Whether it was his paintings or pastel artwork; theater or church choir performances; the blueberry business or wedding cakes ventures; golf or bocce leagues; camping or playing with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; or dance lessons with his beautiful wife Cecile. He lived a truly abundant life.
