Diane C. (Benoit) Reil

Southbridge ~ Diane C. (Benoit) Reil, 75, died peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025 while surrounded by her loving family. 

Diane was born in Southbridge, MA on March 5, 1950, daughter of the late William and Pauline (Beaudry) Benoit.  She was a graduate of Southbridge High School.  Throughout the years, Diane worked at several local grocery stores, including Big Bunny Market, as well as the former Park and Shop Grocery Store, both in Southbridge.  She loved to crochet, and she proudly made, with great love, an afghan for each of her family members as special gifts in the past few months before she passed.  Above all, Diane loved being a homemaker, and was very proud of her family.  

Diane was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister.  She is survived by her son, Joel Reil, and his partner, Seanna Markey, of Southbridge; her two daughters: Holly Benoit and her partner, Jesse Shea, of Southbridge; and Paula Mallozzi and her husband, Josh, of Canterbury, NH; eleven grandchildren; and her sister, Michelle Livernois, and her husband, Phil, of Sturbridge.  She is also survived by her step-mother, Judy Benoit; step-sister, Veronica Ziemba, and step-brother, Russell Ziemba.  Diane was predeceased by her sister, Susan Benoit, who died on March 16, 2021.  

A calling hour will be Saturday, September 20, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, from 8:30-9:30AM.  The funeral Mass, at 10AM, will follow at St. Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge.  Burial will immediately follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Oak Ridge Street, Southbridge.
