Charlton ~ Debra A. (Johnson) Morin, 71, passed Sunday, March 29, 2026, while being lovingly cared for by her beloved family at her daughter and son-in-law's home in Thompson, CT.
Debra is survived by her husband of 49 years, David Morin,and her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Eli Deorsey, of Thompson, CT. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Terry and her husband, Bruce, of Spencer; her brother-in-law, Glenn Morin and his wife, Donna, of Charlton; and her nieces and nephews: Julie and Mike Norberg, Rob and Jamie Terry, Amber and Frank Vega, Lance and Sarah Morin, Jarrod and Melissa Morin, and Nicholas and Nerissa Morin. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Bruce Morin, and also by her niece, Renee Stone.
Born in Worcester, MA, Debra was the daughter of the late Robert and Charlotte (Mitchell) Johnson. She grew up in Spencer, MA, and was a graduate of David Prouty High School. On October 23, 1976, Debra and David married. They settled in Charlton where they made their home and raised their daughter. Debra was a waitress at Annie's Country Kitchen for many years. She also worked at the YMCA in Southbridge. She was a member of the Charlton Federated Church. Debra loved traveling to some of her favorite places which included Maine and New Hampshire, and she also enjoyed taking cruises to various destinations. She enjoyed walking and exercising, but most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family.
Calling hours will be Friday, April 3, 2026, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA. A Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 4, at 10AM, in the Federated Church of Charlton, 64 Main Street, Charlton, MA. PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT THE CHURCH. Burial will immediately follow in West Ridge Cemetery, 37 Main Street, Charlton, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you kindly consider making memorial donations in Debra's memory to Federated Church of Charlton, PO Box 70, Charlton, MA 01507.
