Daniel Laporte Obituary

Charlton/E. Brookfield/Southbridge ~ Daniel A. Laporte, 79, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, MA, following an illness.

Dan is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Kepner) Laporte, whom he married on February 14, 1970.  He also leaves his daughters: Nicole Tucker and her husband, Michael, of Dalton, MA, and Michelle Corder and her husband, Lawrence, of Warren, MA; 4 grandchildren: Logan Corder, Owen Tucker, Megan Tucker, and Riley Corder; his brother, Paul Laporte and his wife, Ann, of Port Orange, FL; and his sister, Madeleine Brouillard, of Southbridge.

Born in Southbridge on July 10, 1946, Dan was the son of the late Armand Laporte and Yvette (Rivers) Laporte Lavallee.  He was a graduate of the former Cole Trade High School.  He served for 6 years in the National Guard.  Before his retirement, Dan worked for 40 years as a sheet metal worker for William F. Lynch Co, Inc., in Worcester, MA.  He was a lifelong New England Patriots fan.  He also loved John Wayne movies.  Although Southbridge is Dan's hometown, he was very happy to be able to purchase his dream home on a lake in East Brookfield, MA, where he and Cynthia lived for many years.  He loved spending endless hours working in the yard and enjoying his lake.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, and cherished visits from his brother.
