Constance J. Berger

Sturbridge...Constance J Berger, 77, died Thursday, March 5th, after being stricken ill at home. She was the daughter of the late Roger G. and Jeannette (Donais) Berger.

She is survived by her God-children Christine Garcia of North Carolina, and Roger Donais of Brookfield, as well as several cousins and friends.  She was born in Southbridge, but later moved to Sturbridge spending most of her life there.
She was a lifelong member of Notre Dame Church, and graduated from the former Notre Dame Grammar School and Notre Dame High School Class of 1961.  After graduation, she worked at the American Optical Corporation in the Billing and Accounting departments for 28 years.
She also worked in sales at the Sturbridge Yarn Mill Outlet, and the former Fairgrounds Antique Center.  She volunteered at the Dudley District Court working on outstanding citations when there was a backlog of work to be done.

She had several hobbies, which included gardening, knitting, traveling, and going out to eat.  She was also a member of the "Foxy Red Hatters" and the Sturbridge/Fiskdale Senior Center.

The funeral Mass will be held at 10AM on Monday, March 9, 2020, at Notre Dame Church, (St. John Paul II Parish) (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH), 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery, 746 North Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA 01550.  There will be no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Paul II Parish, 279 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
