Woodstock – Charles Douglas “Doug” Kopp, 78, died peacefully at his home, while surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, January 12, 2026.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 25, 1947, Doug was the son of the late Charles and Lewanda (Hewitt) Kopp, Jr. He was a graduate of Ashland University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. He was a buyer of industrial equipment and salvaging for many years, working for Hit the Ground Running, which is based in Euclid, OH. In his free time, Doug enjoyed golfing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Doug is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bonnie (Belanger) Kopp. They were married November 30, 1974. He is also survived by their son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Kimberly Kopp of Woodstock, CT; two grandsons, Maxwell and Benjamin Kopp, of Woodstock; and his sister, Pamela Kopp and her husband, Albert Fontaine, of Brandon, FL.
