Carolyn D (Dailey) Jones

Conway, SC/Sturbridge...Carolyn (Dailey) Jones, 90, of Conway, South Carolina and a former longtime resident of Sturbridge, died Friday, February 7, 2025, at UMass Memorial Health/Harrington Hospital.

Her husband was the late James A. Jones, who died December 15, 2020.  She is survived by her daughter Margaret (Peggy) Lanctot and her husband Bryant of Southbridge, her son James W.Jones and his wife Luisa of Oxford, MA, her granddaughter, Marley S. (Lanctot) McCue and her husband Michael,  and her grandson Bryant J. Lanctot and his wife Sarah, and 2 great-grandchildren: James R. Lanctot and Charlotte L. Lanctot, and her sister Margaret E. Hilton of  Pompano Beach, FL, and three nieces Carol Hopkins of Rhode Island, Jacqueline Piro of Rhode Island, and Nancy Clendenning of Florida. She was predeceased by her brother William E. Dailey, III of Wichita, Kansas. 

Mrs. Jones was born in Westerly, RI, daughter of William E. Dailey, Jr., and Iona (Marley) Dailey. She was a high school graduate, and attended the former Bouve College in Boston.  She enjoyed a long career as a custom seamstress.  She also enjoyed knitting and homemaking. 

Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA is entrusted with Mrs. Jones' care.  Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time.
