Carol A. (Salisbury) Porra

Brimfield...Carol A. (Salisbury) Porra, 79, passed away March 9, 2026, at Quaboag Rehab & Skilled Care Center.  She leaves her husband of 60 years, Paul Porra.  They were married August 19, 1965.

She is also survived by her son James Porra of Fiskdale,and her daughter and son-in-law Doreen (Porra) and Paul Gemme of Brookfield, 5 grandchildren: Christian and his wife Sabrina Gemme, Elijah Gemme, Roland Porra, Bradley Porra and his partner Shelby, Christina Porra and her partner Fel, and 2 great-grandchildren Parker and Emmy.  She also leaves her sister Gayle Salisbury of North Grosvenordale, CT, as well as by nieces and nephews. Her sister Yvonne Salisbury, who was born on March 9, predeceased Carol in 2014.

Carol was born in Portland, Maine, daughter of the late Clarence B. and Brenda D. (Curtis) Salisbury and has lived many years Southbridge before moving to Brimfield. She was a graduate of Southbridge High School with the class of 1965, and a member of Greenville Baptist Church in Leicester. She also regularly attended St. Michael's Romanian Orthodox Church in Southbridge with her husband Paul.  Carol has been a proud member of the Women in Business of Sturbridge for over 30 years.  

She and her husband owned and operated Heritage Power Equipment in Charlton for several years. Carol was very artistic. She enjoyed  painting, gardening, and had a green thumb for indoor plants, and their dog Bella.

Calling hours will be from 4-7PM, Friday, March 13, 2026, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.
A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 1:00PM at Greenville Baptist Church, 674 Pleasant Street, Rochdale (Leicester), MA 01542.  Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Maple Street, Sturbridge, MA 01550.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you kindly consider making a memorial donation in Carol's name to Women in Business, P.O.
