Charlton...Carol L. E. (Fortier) Carrington, 78, died Monday, June 20th, at UMass Memorial Medical Center/University Campus. Her husband was the late Richard Carrington.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Roger and his wife Debora Barnes of Spencer, many cousins, a sister-in-law Lillian Thibeault and her husband William of Hubbardston, and was an aunt, great-aunt, and great-great-aunt. She also leaves many close friends, Bruce and Melinda Burlingame of Charlton, Carol Devlin of Brookfield, Ruth Anderson of Charlton, Sid and his late wife Maria Hazzard of Charlton, Franklin and his late wife Janet Hammond of Charlton
Carol was born in Southbridge, daughter of the late Wilfred and Ella (Dupre) Fortier and graduated from Southbridge High School. She was a retired US Postal Worker, and a devoted member of St. Joseph's Church in Charlton. She enjoyed NASCAR racing, playing cards, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
The funeral will be Monday, June 27, 2022, with a Mass at 10:30AM at St. Joseph's Church, 10 H. Putnam Road, Ext. Charlton. A calling hour will be held at the church from 9:30-10:30AM prior to the mass. Burial will follow at West Ridge Cemetery in Charlton.
