Bernice (Nazenic) Gardner

Sturbridge....Bernice (Nazenic) Gardner, 94, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, after a brief illness. Her husband was the late Richard C. Gardner who died in 1997. She leaves her sons Scott Gardner of Sturbridge, Richard Gardner of Brownfield, Maine, her daughter Beverly Lemoine and her husband Marc of Southbridge, and 3 grandchildren Pamela (Eric) Mainville, Dana (Jesse) Kench, and Sawyer Gardner, many great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Katherine Gasparonis, Phyllis Sullivan, Sophie Nazenic, Vicki Nazenic, Stella Dupuis, Viola Nazenic, and Benjamin Nazenic, and by her daughter-in-law Jane Gardner.

Mrs. Gardner was born in Worcester, daughter of Ludwik and Kaziemeria (Zuk) Nazenic, and has lived here for many years. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Church in Sturbridge, and worked as a waitress for many years at the former Rom's Restaurant. She enjoyed gardening, braiding rugs, but most of all she enjoyed her home and family.

Private funeral services will be held.
