Arthur "Artie" Schwall Obituary

Woodstock Valley, CT...Arthur A. Schwall, 68, died Tuesday, September 19, at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. His wife was the late Margaret (Durand) Schwall who died in 2001.

He is survived by his son Cory Schwall of Melrose, and his daughter Jenna Schwall of Woodstock Valley, and his grandchildren, Jayden Casillas, and Lana Paik.  He also leaves his brother Walter "Wally" Schwall of Fitchburg, and his sisters, Laura Lively of Leominster, Liz Bleau of Leominster, Darlene Franco and her husband Lou of Lunenburg, and Linda Davis of New Hampshire, and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in the Bronx, New York, son of Lawrence and Elizabeth (Shinner) Schwall, and lived in Southbridge for many years before moving to Woodstock Valley.  He was a member of Notre Dame Church. He retired from Charles River Pollution Control Facility as a waste water treatment operator. 

Mr. Schwall enjoyed his electric bike, going to the beach in York, Maine , drum circles with his friends, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 10AM, at Notre Dame Church, 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA.  Burial will follow at OakRidge Cemetery, OakRidge Avenue, Southbridge.  There are no calling hours.
