Holland....Angelina R. "Angie" (Resigna) Casavant, 72, died unexpectedly at home Sunday, April 23, 2023. Her husband of 36 years was the late John J. Casavant.
She is survived by her son Marc Casavant of San Diego, and daughter Christa LeBrun and her husband Jeffrey, and their children Lauren, Nora, and Henry LeBrun. She also leaves many close friends including Carol Curtin, Christine Croke, and Sandy Burdick. She was predeceased by her son Eric Casavant in January 1988, and her sister Anna Resigna.
She was born in Putnam, daughter of Anthony F. and Claire D. (Silva) Resigna. She graduated from the former Putnam Catholic Academy and Dudley Hall Business School, she also attended Quinebaug Valley Community College and Quinsigamond College.
Angie worked as a secretary at UConn for over 40 years. She enjoyed the UConn Women's Basketball Team, crocheting, knitting, swimming, Bingo, playing cards, attending concerts, motorcycling, gambling in Las Vegas, and many trips to Disneyworld, but most of all loved her grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday, April 28, 2023, from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, with the Mass at 11:30AM at St. Anne/St. Patrick's Church, 16 Church Street, Fiskdale. Burial will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery, Arnold Road, Fiskdale. Calling hours will be Thursday, April 27, at the funeral home from 5-7PM.
