Andrew Peter Wemple

Southbridge...Andrew P. Wemple, 70, died Friday, August 18, 2023, UMass Memorial Healthcare, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Ruth (Martin) Wemple.  They were married June 2, 1995.

He was born in Columbus, Ohio, son of Robert Wemple and the late Dolores (Segur) Wemple.

He is survived by his daughters Sharon Treat and her husband Chris of Farmington, CT, and their children Colby and Camille, and Sarah Morin and her husband Chris of Coventry, CT, and their daughter Emmaline.  He also is survived by his father Robert Wemple of Vero Beach, FL, stepson Michael Galvin and his spouse Sami Genstein, and step-daughter Lisa Galvin, his brother Don Wemple and his wife Noreen, and his sister Susan Case and her husband Lewis, many nieces and nephews.

Andrew graduated from Framingham High School, Class of 1970, and obtained his degree from Worcester Polytechnical Institute 1974. He was a longtime  member of St. John Paul II Parish volunteering with the food pantry. He enjoyed reading, following the financial news, and researching the history of the Catholic Church.

He retired in 2018, working as an Actuary at State Mutual Insurance Company, Allmerica Financial in Worcester, Boston Mutual in Canton, and Custom Disability Insurance of Portland, Maine.

The funeral Mass for Andrew will be Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11AM, at Notre Dame Church, (please meet directly at the church) 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.  Burial will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge.
