Ana Gloria Acosta

Southbridge - Ana Gloria Acosta, 83, died Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Boston Medical Center, Boston, MA, following a sudden illness.
Ana's husband, Alejandro Colon, died many years ago.  She is survived by two sons, Alex J. Colon and Carlos Colon, both of Southbridge; two daughters, Sara Colon and Carmen Colon, both of Southbridge; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Cecelia Acosta of Hartford, CT, and Mercedes Acosta of Syracuse, NY.  Ana was predeceased by two sons: Luis I. Colon who died December 6, 2017, and Norberto Colon who died April 22, 2016; and her sister Felicita Ortiz who died September 23, 2020. 
Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on July 26, 1938, Ana was the daughter of the late Miguel Acosta Cruz and Ana Maria Serra Rivera.  She enjoyed sewing, and worked as a seamstress for many years.  She was a member of Kingdom Bridge Church in Southbridge.  
Ana's funeral will be Monday, November 8, 2021 from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550, with a graveside service at 11AM at Oak Ridge Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday, November 7 from 5-7PM.
