Alexandra "Alex" S. (Apostol) Lemoine

Stafford Springs/Southbridge...Alexandra "Alex" S. (Apostol) Lemoine, 78, died Friday, October 7, at Johnson Memorial Hospital.  Her husband was the late Robert A. "Bob" Lemoine, who died in 2005.

She is survived by 3 sons: Alan J. Lemoine and his wife Roberta of Stafford, Shawn M. Lemoine of Honolulu, Glen Lemoine and his partner Beth Peloquin of Somers, CT, and four grandchildren: Caitlin Lemoine, Savannah Lemoine, Liam Kurokawa and Aira Kurokawa of Japan. She also leaves her brother Paul Apostol and his wife Vera of Clifton Park, NY, and her sister Louise Mabin of Albany, NY. and many nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by her sisters Dhimitra "Mita" Kita and Janet Baloglou.

Alex was born in Schenectady, NY, daughter of the late Louis and Elnor (Engwer) Apostol, and lived in Southbridge for many years before moving to Stafford Springs and Somers.
She graduated from Albany High School, and was an active member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Albanian Church in Southbridge.  

She worked as a teacher's aide for over 30 years for the Town of Southbridge Public School system. She previously worked at the former Rise N Shine Bakery, Southbridge Newspaper, and was a longtime home health aide.
She enjoyed taking walks, playing dominos, "Greek Rummy", playing cards, and really loved spending many summers at the Cape with her family.

The funeral will be Wednesday, October 12, 2022, with a service at 10AM at St. Nicholas Albanian Orthodox Church, 126 Morris Street, Southbridge.  Burial will follow in OakRidge Cemetery, Oak Ridge Avenue, Southbridge, MA 01550.  Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 11th at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge from 5-7PM
