Therese M. (Gagné) LaMere

Southbridge...Therese M. (Gagné) LaMere, 92, of Therese Avenue, died September 10, 2019, at Southbridge Rehab & Health Care Center. Her husband was the late Emmett LaMere.

She is survived by her brother Adelard J "Del" Gagné of Sturbridge and nieces and nephews Monique Reed of Southbridge, Diane Goddard of Colorado, Rita Laws of Fiskdale, Michelle Gagné of Southbridge, Daniel Gagné of Warrn, and Alan Gagné of Brookfield.

She was born in Southbridge, daughter of Eloi and Lucia (LaRoche) Gagné, and lived here all her life.  Mrs. LaMere was an active member of St. John Paul II Parish (Notre Dame Church), its Ladies of St. Anne Sodality, she was the morning mass organist at the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, she worked Bingo at Notre Dame and Sacred Heart, she delivered Meals on Wheels, and was a volunteer for the Literacy group of the Jacobs Edwards Library.

She retired from Boniface Tool & Die where she worked as an office secretary for 12 years, retiring in 1993.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, with burial in Notre Dame Cemetery & Mausoleum in Worcester. Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 directed the arrangements.
