Theresa (Kwiatkowski) Howard

Southbridge - Theresa (Kwiatkowski) Howard, 88, died Thursday, August 3, 2017, at her daughter's home following an illness.

Her husband, Donald R. Howard, died in 1955.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Howard-Anzalone and Stephen Anzalone, of Fairfax, VA; her grandson, Don Anzalone of Kent Island, MD; her brother Theodore Kwiatkowski, and his wife, Lorraine, of Southbridge, MA; a sister-in-law, Shirley Kwiatkowski, of Delaware; and many nieces and nephews.  Theresa was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Howard, who died November 29, 2016.  She was also predeceased by her brothers Thaddeus Kwiatkowski, Charles Kwiatkowski, and Anthony Kwiatkowski; and sisters, Helen (Kwiatkowski) Kawas, and Regina (Kwiatkowski) Moninski.

Mrs. Howard was born December 16, 1928, in Southbridge, MA, daughter of the late Boleslaw and Cecelia (Budzinski) Kwiatkowski.  She lived mostly lifelong in Southbridge until moving to Fairfax, VA to live with her daughter and son-in-law during her illness.  She was a graduate of the class of 1946 from the former Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge.  She worked for many years at the Savers Bank in Southbridge, retiring as a mortgage clerk.  

A calling hour will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017, from 10-11am at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA.  A funeral home word service will immediately follow at 11am.  Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery following the funeral home service.  The family requests in lieu of flowers that you consider making a memorial donation to Capital Caring Hospice of DC, www.capitalcaring.org.  Click on Support Us.  Click on Memorial & Honor Gifts.  Or you may donate to a charity of your choice.
