Susan M. (Parron) Reed

Holland...Susan M. (Parron) Reed, 67, a longtime resident of Holland died Tuesday at Harrington Memorial after an illness.
She met and married the love of her life Donald G. Reed whom she married on August 2, 1969.

She is survived by 2 sons Donald E. Reed and his wife Kimberly of Brookfield, NY, and Edward A. Reed and his wife Robyn  of Rochester, NH.  She also leaves 3 grandchildren Alexia Reed Sadlon, Logan Reed, Walker Reed, and 3 great-grandchildren Ayvan Sadlon, Alora Sadlon, and Avary Markey Sadlon, and a brother Robert and his wife Ida Parron of Holland. She was predeceased by her brother James Parron who died in 2014.

Susan was born in Springfield, August 26, 1951, daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy E. (Wright) Parron and was a lifelong resident. She attended Tantasqua Regional Vocational High School, and was a former longtime member of St. Christopher's Church in Brimfield where she sang in the choir and soloist for several years, and also was a member of St. Anne/St. Patrick's Church choir in Sturbridge for 5 years.  Susan was active with the Boy Scouts of America for 19 years, serving as a Den Mother, Cub Master of Pack 8 Holland, and Troop 161 Sturbridge.  She also was a Little League coach for 9 years in Holland.

For many years, Susan was a dairy goat farmer and worked as a dairy goat manager, and previously worked at the former Ames Department Store in Sturbridge.  She loved animals especially Brittany Spaniels, but mostly loved spending time with her family. 

Calling hours will be from 9-11AM, Saturday, May 25th, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550, followed by a Prayer Service at 11AM. Burial will be at a later date.
