Southbridge...Roland J. "Red" Renaud, 68, a lifelong resident of Southbridge, died Tuesday, September 23, 2019, at UMass Memorial Medical Center/University Campus, after a long illness. He is survived by his son Scott Renaud of Spencer, his longtime companion Nina Fiorelli of Southbridge, his mother Evelyn Renaud Arsenault of Sturbridge, 4 brothers Edward Renaud and his wife Darlene of Southbridge, Ronald Renaud and his wife Terry of Sturbridge, Richard 'Curly" Renaud and his wife Barbara of Southbridge, Frank Arsenault of Southbridge, and 2 sisters Juanita Normandin of Southbridge, and Lynn Gorak and her husband Rod of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Tina Arsenault.
He was born February 16, 1951 in Palmer, and lived mostly in Southbridge, and Sturbridge. He graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School in 1969. For many years, he was a truck driver delivering produce for Paoletti's Fruit Stand. Red enjoyed sports, hunting, gardening, but most of all he loved his family and friends, and his cats, Lilly, Tiger and Blackie. He could often be seen eating breakfast at Annie's in Sturbridge, and enjoyed engaging in a conversation with the many people he encountered.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 28th, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 from 10AM-12 Noon. Burial will be private at a later date. www.sansoucyfuneral.com
