Roger Lucien Lamoureux

Southbridge...Roger Lucien Lamoureux, 77, died on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Roger is survived by the love of his life of 52 years, Jean (Recore) Lamoureux, and 4 children Keith Lamoureux, Melissa Lamoureux, Shari (Lamoureux) and her husband James Broga, Marcia (Lamoureux) and her husband Jean Paul LeBoeuf, 8 grandchildren Trevor, Thomas, and Jessica Mazejka, Nathan and Joshua Lamoureux, Ashley and Brendan LeBoeuf, and Jaeden Marotta, and a great-granddaughter Dakota Mazejka, who always made him smile. He is also survived by 2 step-grandchildren Alyssa and Jacob Broga, a brother Fernand Lamoureux and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Southbridge, July 25, 1940, son of Ulric ad Hermeline (Hebert) Lamoureux. He retired after working 46 years at Hyde Tools, Inc., and also worked for several years part-time at Dexter-Russell (Russell-Harrington). Roger enjoyed bowling, archery, but mostly he loved playing golf at Bay Path Golf Course in Brookfield. He also enjoyed a good game of cribbage with his family. The family would like to thank the staff at Overlook and especially thank the nurses and staff of 2North at Harrington Memorial Hospital for their compassion and help (Happy New Month).
Calling hours will be Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Nov. 3, at 11AM at Saint Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge. Burial will be private.
