Robert O. Proulx

Robert O. Proulx, 50, of Southbridge, MA died Tuesday, February 12th after a brief battle with cancer.

Born on February 2, 1969 he was the son of Paul A. and Constance T. (LaFleche) Proulx, of Southbridge. He is predeceased by his father, a brother Paul R. Proulx, and a nephew Christopher P. Proulx.

Robert was a graduate of the Southbridge High School Class of 1987. He was employed, for more than 15 years, by Harrington Hospital, where he passed away, surrounded by his loved ones. Robert had a deep interest in collecting WWII memorabilia and he was an avid science fiction fan who recently visited his first Comic-Con in SC.

In addition to his mother, Robert is survived by his sister-in-law, Marlene Proulx, his brothers and their wives Richard A. and Nancy Null Proulx, Ronald D. and Andree Proulx, Peter J. and Susan Proulx, his sister and her husband Pamela A. and Randall Clemence, as well as, his aunts Madelene Proulx, Gloria Proulx, and Lillian LaFleche and his nieces Julianne, Kathleen, Julia, Danielle, Abigail, Michelle & Anabelle and his nephews Daniel (and his wife Stephanie), Robert, Noah, Richard, Allen, Josiah, several cousins, a great-niece and two great-nephews.

Robert’s siblings are forever grateful for his relationship with their mom, especially since their dad’s passing. He was always there to laugh with her, take her to the movies and cheer with her through Six Patriots Championships.

Calling hours will be on Friday, February 22, 2019, from 8:30 – 9:30 am at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge MA. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge MA 01550. A private burial will be held at a later date.
