Robert S. Fountain

Dudley/Southbridge...Robert S. Fountain, 76, died Sunday, August 27, 2017, at UMass Memorial Medical Center/Memorial Campus, Worcester. He leaves his twin Brother Roger Fountain, Order of The Brothers of the Sacred Heart, in Pascoag, RI, his son Jason Fountain of Brookfield, a granddaughter Brittany, and a very close friend Jean J. Thibert of Dudley, aunts, an uncle, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his son Richard Fountain who died in July 2015.

Robert was born in Worcester, March 30, 1941, son of Sanford C. and Simone M. (Pouliot) Fountain. He graduated from Holy Name of Jesus Central Catholic High School in Worcester, and was also a longtime member of St. Joseph Church in Charlton. He worked for 15 years at the American Optical Company in Southbridge, and retired from Bay Path Spirits in Brookfield where he was the manager for 16 years. Robert enjoyed traveling, Bingo, and music, and was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. 

The funeral will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017, with a calling hour from 8:30AM to 9:30AM at Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge MA, followed by the funeral Mass at 10AM at St. Joseph Church. 10 H.Putnam Road Ext.,  Charlton, MA.
