Southbridge - Richard "Dicky" L. Lambert, 55, died Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, after an illness.
Born in Worcester, MA on April 6, 1964, he was the son of the late Leo and Jeannine A. (Blanchet) Lambert. He is survived by his wife, Judith; his daughters, Rebecca Lambert and Nichole Lambert, both of Southbridge, and Melony McNeaney of Newport Beach, CA; 2 grandsons, Anthony and Paul; 4 sisters, Carol Lincoln, and her husband Glenn, of Southbridge, Joanne Lambert of Southbridge, Diane Lambert of Dudley, and Linda Collins of Cumberland, RI; and nieces and nephews.
Dicky was a well-known and very respected auto mechanic in town for 40 years. He retired from MD Motors in Southbridge in 2013 due to his illness. He could do everything, and he mastered every craft, whether it was roofing, painting, or gardening. He enjoyed going to the beach, joking around with everyone, and he especially loved being on his Harley. He was known as a gentle giant, and he would do anything for anyone without hesitation. And well, if you knew Dicky, you just know how he loved to drop the F-bomb.
Over the past 5 years, Dicky became very close to Steve, Doug and Scott Lazo. He considered them as the brothers he never had, and their sons were the sons Dicky never had.
Calling hours will be Saturday, August 3, 2019, from 4-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA. Flowers are acceptable, or kindly consider making a donation to a charity of your choice in Dicky's memory.
