Kenneth "Von Zip" T. Wood

Southbridge,...Kenneth T. "Von Zip"  Wood, age 66, died Sunday, December 24th, after a long illness. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Rachael L. (Girouard) Wood. They were married May 22, 1970.  He is survived by his son Jason Wood and his wife Mylene of Southbridge, his daughter Deidra Carlson of Southbridge, son-in-law Todd Carlson of Southbridge, 2 brothers George Wood and his wife Pauline of Southbridge, and Michael Wood and his wife Janelle of Westfield, MA, 3 sisters Marsha Vasquez of Southbridge, Patricia Lozer and her husband Richard of Florida, and Barbara and her husband "Junior" Rios of Largo, FL. He also leaves 13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Scott Wood, and grandson Jayden Carlson who died December 21, 2017, a brother Richard Wood, and a sister Carol Goudreau.
He was born in Southbridge, son of the late Lawrence and Rita (Livernois) Wood, and has lived here all his life.
Ken was a member of Notre Dame Church, and was a retired fuel truck driver for Pilot Travel Centers. He most loved spending time with his family and riding his Harley Davidson. 
A calling hour will be held Friday, January 5th, from 8:30-9:30AM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, with the funeral Mass to follow at 10AM, at St. Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. DUE TO THE WEATHER, BURIAL SERVICES WILL BE RE-SCHEDULED FOR A LATER DATE.
