Iris B. (St.George) Goulet

Humble, TX/Southbridge...Iris B. (St George) Goulet passed away peacefully on March 6th, 2018 after a lifetime of devotion to her family.  She was born on June 4, 1913 in Southbridge, Massachusetts where she made her residence for 87 years.  
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Gerald E. Goulet, her parents Felix and Clara (Theriault) St. George, and her brothers, Reginald and Theobald St. George.
Iris is survived by her daughters, Theresa Robertson and husband Bruce of Storrs, CT., and Pauline Beck of Humble, TX, with whom she made her residence.  She will be missed by her grandchildren, Eric Robertson, Rebecca Groenewold, Angela Perry and Aaron Banks, 4 step grandchildren, Jennifer Kechemir, John Beck, Laura McKeand, Julie Packard and numerous great grandchildren and nieces.
She was a graduate of Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge, MA.  She worked as office manager at Tri City Fabrics for 9 years.  Iris enjoyed being a Girl Scout and Brownie leader for many years.  She was a member of the AARP, Casaubon Senior Center, Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of Sacred Heart Church in Southbridge as well as a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Humble where she participated in the Adoration Ministry.  She belonged to the Royal Travelers Club where she and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.
She will be remembered as a strong, loving, gracious and caring woman who was full of laughter and warmth.  Special thanks to all those who made her last years in Texas so memorable.
A Funeral Mass and calling hours were held in Texas. A Graveside service will be held later in New Notre Dame Cemetery. Sansoucy Funeral Home is directing local arrangements.
