Glenn D. Rousseau

Sturbridge - Glenn D. Rousseau, Sr., 55, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Harrington Memorial Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer.
He leaves his wife of 20 years, Heidi M. (Martin) Rousseau.  They were married September 13, 1997.  He also leaves his sons, Cameron and Mason Rousseau, both of Sturbridge, MA, and Glenn D. Rousseau, Jr., of Shirley, MA; his daughter, Carrie Ann Rousseau, of Dudley, MA; his mother, Lorraine C. (Sweet) Rousseau; 3 grandchildren, Calvin Feeney, Hector Glenn Rousseau, and Amelia May Catherine Zablocki; a brother Eugene Rousseau and his wife, Elyse, of Florida; his sisters, Debra Aikey and her husband, Scott, of Brimfield, MA, and Gail Cloutier and her husband, Edward, of Warren, MA; his in-laws Judy and Dan Curboy of Sturbridge, MA; his father-in-law Michael J. Martin of Sturbridge; and Adam J. Alicea Rousseau, whom Glenn raised as his own son.  
Born in Southbridge on July 27, 1962, Glenn is the son of the late Eugene W. Rousseau who died October 27, 2003.  He graduated from Bay Path High School in 1980.  Glenn served in the US Army.  He worked as Director of Maintenance Plant Operations for Holy Trinity Nursing Home and
then for Odd Fellows until retiring recently due to health reasons.  He enjoyed playing guitar, riding his Harley Davidson, playing cribbage, and most of all, he loved his sons, and was proud to be their dad and enjoyed spending time with them.  
Calling hours will be Sunday, November 5, 2017, from 4-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA.   The  Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 6 at 10AM at St. Anne's Church, 16 Church Street, Fiskdale, MA.  Burial will be private at a later date.  The family requests in lieu of flowers that you consider making a memorial donation to the Rousseau Children's Fund c/o Savers Bank, 55 Main Street, Sturbridge, MA 01566.
