Fernand Pichette of Sturbridge passed away July 17, 2018 at the age of 90. Originallly from St. Didace, Quebec, he left home at the age of 17 and worked as a lumberjack all across Canada. Later he drove street cars in Montreal and ultimately became a driver for Greyhound Bus Lines. He moved to America in 1964 where he continued to enjoy driving for Greyhound until his retirement.
Beloved husband of Doris (Normandin Hufault) with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage last fall.
Dear brother of the late Roland Pichette (Cécile Lebrun), the late Paul-Émile Pichette (Marie-Jeanne Lemay), the late Jean-Marie Pichette (Laure Boisvert), Adolphe Pichette (Berthe Boisvert) Gratien Pichette (Marie-Claire Leblanc) Lisette Pichette (Raymond Garand) (René Leblanc), the late Lucille Pichette (Jules Gélinas) Gisèle Pichette (Cyrille Leblanc), Monique Pichette (Ghislain Pellerin), and Solange Pichette (René-Paul Pelletier).

Proud godfather of Isabelle St Yves (Yvan Ferron).
He also leaves many other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom were important to him. His loss will leave a big void for all who knew him. We’ll all miss his cheerfulness and his love of life. But we know he’s now up there with his old golf buddies, watching over us, and he would want us all to raise a toast in his honor.
