Cathy S (Gilbert) Kindness

Southbridge...Cathy S. (Gilbert) Kindness, 63, a longtime resident, died Thursday, February 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at UMass Memorial Medical Center/University Campus, after a long illness. She leaves her husband of 39 years, Robert A. Kindness.  They were married April 7, 1979. She also leaves her son Sean Kindness of Paradise Valley, Arizona. her mother and step-father Barbara (Harding) Gilbert Minor and Neal Minor of Hampden , a brother Fred Gilbert of Stephens, Georgia, and her sister Cynthia Lamme of Kennesaw, GA, her step-mother Janice Gilbert of Stephens, GA, 2 nieces Kerry Hammond of Acworth, GA, and Kelly Robinson of Griffin, GA, and 4 cousins Nancy Gwodz of Palmer, Susan Roath of Palmer, Gary Pelzer of Atlanta, and Scott Pelzer of Atlanta. She was predeceased by a brother William Gilbert, and a sister Valerie Jimenez.
Cathy was born April 9, 1954, in Rockville, CT, daughter of the late William Gilbert. She was a high graduate of Minnechaug High School  and attended Springfield Techinical Community College.
She was an antique dealer at the Fairgrounds Antique Center of Sturbridge, retiring several years ago. 
A gathering will be from 5-7PM, Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA with a Prayer Service at 6PM with Rev. Juan Herrera. Burial will be private.
