Ana Elba (Valdes) Rodriguez

Southbridge...Ana Elba (Valdes) Rodriguez, 75, died Sunday, August 5, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.
She leaves her husband of 59 years Carlos J. Rodriguez, and 2 sons Carlos J. Rodriguez, Jr, and his wife Bethzaida of Worcester,  Jonathan Rodriguez of Southbridge, and 2 daughters Edna Miranda and her husband Jose Miranda of Southbridge, and Maria Lopez of Southbridge, and a nephew that she helped raise Ruben Rios and his wife Severina of Southbridge. 

She also leaves a sister Rafaela (Felin) Sanchez of New York, her grandchildren  Monique, Carlos, Tahisha, Rudilie, Jeremy, Silkia, Adrian, Catalina, and Precious, 19 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson, and nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by 3 brothers Luis Matos, Hector Matos, and Anthony Martinez, and 3 sisters Rita Colon, Milagros Machuca, and Nereida Valdes,

She was born in Manati, Puerto Rico, daughter of Damaso Valdes and Carmen Colon Valdes, and has lived in Southbridge since 1972, and previously lived in New York. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church where she served her God for 45 years..

She had previously worked at the American Optical Co., but was best known as a wonderful seamstress.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550, with a Prayer Service at 6:30PM.
The funeral will be Thursday, August 9th, at 8:30AM, from the funeral home, with the burial at 10AM at New Notre Dame Cemetery, 746 N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA 01550. www.sansoucyfuneral.com
