Charlton...Alice J. (Gosselin) Giguere, 88, died Monday, January 6th, at Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton, where she has resided for the past eight years.
She is survived by her seven children, William Giguere and his wife Barbara of Charlton, Marie Giguere of Belgium, Joseph Giguere and his wife Elizabeth of Myrtle Beach, Lise-Anne Marsal and her husband Frédéric of France, Angela Einstein and her companion Shane Brooks of Burnham ME, Thomas Giguere and his wife Jacqueline of Sturbridge, and Monique Giguere and her husband Dustin Lima of Charlestown, RI, 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves three sisters, Annette Willette of Sandwich, Bernadette Milligan and her husband Edward of Buzzards Bay, Cecile Zarum and her husband Seth of Mashpee, and a brother William Gosselin of Buzzards Bay and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers Emile Gosselin and Normand Gosselin.
Alice was born in North Attleborough, MA, daughter of Victor and Irene (Robinson) Gosselin and lived many years on the Cape before moving to Charlton. Alice was a Registered Nurse graduating from Sturdy Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, She was a highly respected nurse at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital where she became one of their youngest head nurses. Alice was also an avid reader and loved her romance novels. She loved to play scrabble, do puzzles and to play cards. Her smile could light up a room, especially when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren visited. She got her strength through her faith and love for God.

The funeral Mass will be held at 10AM on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at St. Joseph's Church, 10 H. Putnam Road, ext., Charlton, MA 01507. There are no calling hours, and burial will be private. Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 is directing the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Overlook, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
