Alice (Viens) Gervais

Southbridge...Alice (Viens) Gervais, 90, formerly of Therese Avenue, died Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Webster Manor. Her husband of 57 years was the late Ernest O. Gervais who died in 2005. She is survived by her son Marc and his wife Roberta Gervais of Oxford, 2 grandsons Matthew Gervais and his wife Courtney of Chelmsford, Joel Gervais and his wife Jacquelyn of Rockland,  a granddaughter Stephanie Gervais of Worcester, and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her brother Normand Viens of Southbridge.

Mrs Gervais was born in Southbridge, daughter of Henriot and Emelia (Maynard) Viens. She was a lifelong member of Notre Dame Church, and graduated from the former Notre Dame High School Class of 1945. She was a retired bookkeeper from Southbridge Sheet Metal, where she worked for 20 years. 

Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 4th, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. The funeral Mass will be at 10AM, Thursday, October 5th, at Notre Dame Church, 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery, N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Paul II Parish, 279 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA 01550
