Biography

Woodstock, CT...Paul R. Parent, age 77, of Woodstock died Friday at home surrounded by family.
He was the husband of Constance T (Bernier) Parent. They were married in Southbridge, and lived there till they moved to Woodstock, CT in 1998. He leaves by 4 sons Albert Parent and his wife Andrea of Pomfret, CT, Michael Parent of Southbridge, Phillip Parent of Southbridge, Daniel Parent and his wife Mary of Hopkinton, and 2 daughters Theresa Chrul and her husband Steven of Douglas, and Monique Bouchard and her husband Robert of Southbridge, 12 grandchildren. He leaves 2 brothers Richard Parent and his wife Christine of Milford, George Parent and his wife Patricia of Southbridge, and 4 sisters Lucille Proulx of Southbridge, Pauline Parent of West Palm Beach, FL, Anita Parent of Southbridge, and Elaine Curran and her husband John of Norwich, CT, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Joseph Parent (1960).
Mr. Parent was born in Worcester, Nov. 29,1932, son of Emile and Rita (Richard) Parent.
He graduated in 1951 from the former Cole Trade High School in Southbridge, and served in the Army National Guard from 1950-1959.. He was a member of Notre Dame Church and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society.
He worked as a general foreman at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Hartford, CT and retired in 1987. He enjoyed woodworking, working around his home, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
The funeral will be Monday, June 28th, from Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street Southbridge with a Mass at 10AM at Notre Dame Church 446 Main St. Southbridge. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 6-8PM
