Rose V. (Puccilli) Allard

Southbridge...Rose V. (Puccilli) Allard, who celebrated her 105th birthday on April 9th, was Southbridge's oldest resident, died Saturday April 13, 2024, at Southbridge Rehab & Health Care Center.  Her husband was the late Emile C. Allard who died in 1984.

She is survived by her sons Peter Allard and his wife Nancy of Southbridge, and Thomas Allard and his wife Dianne of Southbridge. She also leaves her 5 grandchildren: Timothy Allard and his wife Diana Acero-Allard of Denver, CO, Christopher Allard and his partner Manuel Roman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Dr. Colleen Allard-Hardenbrook and her husband Max of Basehor, KS, Maggie Allard of Southbridge, and Kenneth Allard of Alston, MA, and 1 great-granddaughter Miranda Lily Allard of Denver, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by 2 brothers: Carlo Puccilli, Biagio Puccilli and her sisters, Angelina Langer-Leduc, Anna Perrazzola, and Cecilia Chasse.

Mrs. Allard was born in Southbridge, daughter of Pietro and Natalina (Anselmi) Puccilli and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of the former Mary E. Wells High School, Class of 1937.

She was a member of Saint Mary's Church (St. John Paul II Parish) where she served for many years as a greeter at Mass, member of Saint Rita's Society, Harrington Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and sewed and crocheted for the Pediatric patients.

She worked at the American Optical Co. as a supervisor for many years, and previously was the administrative assistant at the former William Swiacki Real Estate.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 5-7PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge. The funeral Mass will be at 11AM, Thursday April 18th, at St. Mary's Church 247 Hamilton Street, Southbridge. Burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Charlton Street, Southbridge.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Paul II Parish, 279 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA 01550
