Steven R. Tremblay, Sr.

Southbridge...Steven R. Tremblay, Sr. age 70, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, after being stricken ill at home. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Dianne M. (St.George) Tremblay. He leaves a son Steven R. Tremblay, Jr of Southbridge, and a daughter Noreen Tremblay of Worcester, and a granddaughter Maelieshia Tremblay. He also leaves 3 brothers Richard Tremblay of E. Longmeadow, MA, Clifford Tremblay of Southbridge, Norman Tremblay of Florida, and 5 sisters Annette Meade of Westfield, Paula Johnson Alabama, Michelle Roy of Arizona, Rhea Marshall of Westfield, and Suzanne Bruneau of Westfield.  He was predeceased by 3 sisters Barbara Tremblay, Diane Tremblay, and Jean Garrow, many nieces and nephews

He was born in Holyoke, son of Raymond A. and Anita A. (Lemieux) Tremblay, and lived here for most of his life. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, serving aboard the USS Damato. He worked as a welder for most of his life. As a young man he was a member of the Springfield Targets and Springfield Marksmen Drum and Bugle Corps.  He enjoyed being an outdoorsman, loving nature, taking long rides in his car, and often was seen driving by farms to look at the cows, playing pool, but most of all he loved his family

Calling hours will be July 10, 2017, from 4-6PM at Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA  01550. Burial will be private
