Luis Antonio Colon, Jr.

Southbridge - Luis Antonio Colon, Jr., 59, of Worcester Street, died peacefully Friday, September 1, 2017, at home, surrounded by his loving family. 
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elia Colon.  He is also survived by his mother, Iris (Vasquez) Colon, of Southbridge; three sons, Christopher Colon and his wife, Amber, of Southbridge, Luis Danny Ortiz and his wife, Justine, of Southbridge, and Luis Antonio Colon 3rd and his wife, Renee, of Rochester, NY; seven daughters, Jessica Colon Thompson and her husband, Christopher, of Sturbridge, Kristen Ortiz and her husband, Pedro, of Southbridge, Brenda Ortiz and her husband, Angel Berrios, of Southbridge, Carrie Colon of North Carolina, Mariluz Págan of Worcester, Iaisha Rodriguez of Southbridge, and Monique Berrias of Southbridge; 17 grandchildren; two sisters, Becky Colon of Orocovis, Puerto Rico, and Edna Breitbach of Minnesota; three brothers, Ronald Colon of Southbridge, Willy Colon of Southbridge, and Bob Colon of Orocovis, Puerto Rico; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  Luis was predeceased by two brothers, Alberto "Beetle" Colon, and Ronnie Colon. 
Luis was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on September 16, 1957, son of the late Luis A. Colon, Sr. and Iris (Vasquez) Colon.  He was a cook, and has worked at many restaurants throughout his career.  Luis was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.  
The funeral will be Tuesday, September 5, 2017, from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550, with a Mass at 10am in St. Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA.  Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Charlton Street, Southbridge, MA.  Calling hours will be Monday, September 4, 2017, from 5-8pm, at the funeral home.
