Catherine "Carol" C (Shippee) Gauthier

Charlton...Catherine "Carol" (Shippee) Gauthier, 79 died Sunday, July16 2017, at Southbridge Rehab & Healthcare Center. "Carol and Eddie are back together, to complete their 63 years of marriage" Her husband Edward W. Gauthier died February 9, 2015. They were married May 1, 1954. Carol and Eddie raised 4 sons Raymond Gauthier, who recently passed away on July 21, 2017, Joseph Gauthier of Oxford. Richard and his wife Jane Gauthier of Southbridge, and Jon T. Gauthier of Southbridge. She also leaves her daughter-in-law Virginia Gauthier of Southbridge, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters Sandra Menard of Brimfield, Becky Dumas of Hartford, CT, and Cynthia Hackett of Southbridge, nieces and nephews.
She was born in Southbridge, January 4, 1938, daughter of the late Warren and Andrea (Tetreault) Shippee, and was also predeceased by her son Raymond Gauthier of Southbridge who recently died on July 21, 2017, a brother Bobby Shippee, and sister Susan Burlingame. 
Carol loved the Fall season, when she, her mom and sisters would drive to the Mohawk Trail "to see the colors", and then stop for coffee and sandwiches. Carol and Eddie loved going to yard sales, where they would buy "lots of stuff" and drop them off at their son's homes even if they didn't want it.
Carol will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Southbridge Rehab & Healthcare Center for the fantastic care they provided to Carol for over 2 years.
