Andre G. Corvisier

Sturbridge....Andre G. Corvisier, 89, died June 24, 2017, at Overlook Masonic Health Center, after a long illness.  His wife was the late Marie E. (Staves) Corvisier, who died April 15, 2010.

He is survived by his daughter Barbara Materas of Southbridge, and 6 grandchildren, and a sister Jeannette Waskiewicz and her husband Edward of Jacksonville, FL  He was predeceased by a daughter Donna Ryll of Southbridge.

He was born in Southbridge, son of Andre and Albina (Demers) Corvisier, and lived many years in Southbridge before moving to Sturbridge.  He served in the National Guard for many years.  He worked for many years at the American Optical Company and retired from Schott Fiber Optics, both of Southbridge. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing. Funeral Services will be private.
